Founded in 1992 in Santa Clara County by Pallas (Hansen) Chiogioji and Charlotte Krumwiede, Career Closet is a small, volunteer-based nonprofit. In 2001, we grew to include a San Mateo facility as well, thanks to the dedication of Carole Kirk and Kris Mackin.
We are a tight-knit group, with one full-time and five part-time employees. Additionally, we provide on-site job training for select agencies in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.
Everyone else at Career Closet is a volunteer who dedicates time and expertise to ensure that we can empower our clients to enter the working world and change their lives for the better.
