As a small, volunteer-based nonprofit, we rely on the financial support we receive from our generous donors. Our social enterprise component produced 47 percent of our 2007 annual budget from a series of fundraising events, as well as special clothing sales and assorted other revenue streams. Several times every year, we conduct special sales that are open to the public, and during these sales, we offer donated clothing that is in fine condition but might be inappropriate for the workplace. Sale items include specialty clothing and other accessories that are in good condition, and the proceeds from Style Cupboard are an important element in helping us maintain self-sufficiency as an organization throughout the year.
